About this place
Choosing a cake from the display is part of the pleasure here. Visitors have noted the generous slices and the range of cakes and tarts made with plenty of seasonal fruit. One diner enjoyed a Shine Muscat grape shortcake, describing the crisp fruit alongside whipped cream and soft sponge. Fruit takes centre stage in options such as shortcakes that let the fruit’s flavour come through, as well as sandwiches filled with fruit and cream.
For a break with cake and a drink, options include coffee, Earl Grey, hojicha (roasted green tea) and caramel milk tea, served hot or iced. Some visitors have paired black coffee with fruit tiramisu or a pear and mango cake. Another diner singled out the smooth, melting texture of the cheese cream in a tart, suggesting there is more to consider than just the fruit: the base and cream are part of the choice, too.
There are savoury options, too, including pasta and sandwiches. The lunch set lets you choose a pasta and comes with salad and a drink. Menu examples include shrimp and asparagus genovese, aubergine and bacon pasta in tomato sauce, and roast pork and cabbage pasta with a light, salty sauce. Sandwiches include a BLT and Prado Fruit, with fruit and cream; a half-and-half option lets you try half of each.
The café is next to Kintetsu Art-kan, and one visitor stopped in between performances. Some diners have commented on the spacious seating and the distance between tables; the café is also described as suitable for eating alone. It is on 8F of the Wing Building at Abeno Harukas Kintetsu Main Store, with both dine-in and takeaway available.
